So how’s recording going, I hear you ask in chorus. Because it’s been a few weeks between updates, I’m going to get all postmodern on your ass and go back in time and ask myself this question once a week over the last few weeks since my last [REC] post.

If it sounds like this is taking an inordinately long time, bear in mind that I’m not exactly able to just focus on this; day jobs and family and friends and crisises (of which there seem to have been an inordinate amount lately) and medical appointments and haircuts and pedicures are all cutting into valuable recording time. But I’m making headway. I think I’m on schedule.

Making this record is a pretty intense experience, so this might get emo. If it does, I’m going to flash forward in time and ask myself a week later how things are progressing.

So, how’s recording going?

Fuck, I don’t know. Every time I try to work on something else I keep getting drawn back to this cruisy pop thing that I’m finishing off writing when I should be just tweaking levels and recording. It’s a totally pussy pop track. Well, it starts out totally pussy. But it builds up to something kind of bordering on intensity. A pussy kind of intensity. Ugh. Why am I doing this? I don’t know what this record is even…
