On saturday the 12th at the Norfolk Basement, my dear friends Brash And Sassy will be launching their new single No Milk For You. It’s something of a party bomb.
I’ve done a remix for the single, which you’ll be able to buy from the 12th in record stores or online from the 18th. It’s one of my favourite remixes out of those I’ve done and the rest of the disc is pretty dope as well.
If you haven’t seen Brash And Sassy before, they put on a live italo-disco show full of great costumes, dance moves and something like irony. The great thing about them is that they’re great on whatever level you want to take them; if you’re into italo-disco, you’ll love them. If you like ironic musical comedy, you’ll love them. If you’re a middle aged woman who spent her twenties in a secretarial job listening to the Eurythmics on 96fm, you’ll absolutely adore them. If you’re just looking for some kind of fun show, you’ll be extremely satisfied.
I will be hosting the night and doing a one-off cover version as well (along with a few other special guests). Entry is a meagre $10 on the door.
To get you in the mood for the party, here’s another track of theirs I quite like; Questionnaire.
